It seems I get almost daily inquiries about the progress of Artful Dodgers: Fraud and Foolishness in the Art Market toward publication and availability. I am working with an agent to craft a Proposal to publishers and the advice I receive is to put more stories in it. Man is the story-telling animal and since the book has loads of good ones, the agent says to let them sell the book. In other words, don’t lecture, tell a story. Good advice and I’m on it.

The book, of course, looks at art dealers, galleries, auction houses, appraisers–both good and bad, authentication, Salvador Dali artworks (of course), developing connoissership and, above all else, The Six Myths That Drive The Art Market.

Who knows, you might even recogize yourself in one of the stories. Hope it doesn’t happen.
