What do you do?

We are a complete fine art appraisal service with more than thirty-five years of experience. Our principal, Bernard Ewell, ASA, is an Accredited Senior Appraiser who has held that earned designation since 1985. From our home base in Colorado Springs, Colorado (1972-2000) and Santa Fe, New Mexico since 2000, we have developed an extensive international practice. We are recognized as experts in a wide range of fine art styles and periods.

Currently, we are focused on the research and writing of a definitive catalogue of the graphic works (prints) of Spanish surrealist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989). As a result of this important and demanding three year project, we have greatly reduced the volume of other assignments we accept. When we do not provide an appraisal service, however, we try to refer a client to an appropriate colleague whom we know will provide fully professional services.

As the internationally recognized expert on the art of Salvador Dalí, Bernard accepts all appraisal and authentication assignments involving art attributed to The Master.
